Who Is Stripe And What Is The Relationship With Backstage
Backstage uses Stripe to get you paid quickly and keep your personal and payment information secure. Thousands of companies around the world in addition to Backstage already trust Stripe to process payments for their customers. To receive payments on Backstage you must set up a Stripe account.
What Information Do I Need To Give Stripe And Why?
To create a payments account, you have to provide the following information:
- Name
- Email Address
- Mobile phone number
To comply with financial regulations, Stripe may also request these details:
- Date of birth
- The last 4 digits of your Social Security Number
- A copy of an ID document
- Proof of home address
What Does The "Information Required Soon" Alert Mean When Creating My Account?

How Long Do Payments Take?
Payments may take up to 7 days to be transferred to your bank account or debit card.
How Can I Change My Payout Details?
You can change your payout details by clicking on the Manage Payment Account button in your Order Dashboard.
Why Did Stripe Suspend My Account?
Stripe does not share information about suspended accounts with Backstage. Please contact Stripe support regarding account suspension.
